Travel to Ningbo 2nd Day

The second day we went to Tianyi Pavilion Museum. We went there by bus and it took us about twenty minutes. Tianyi Pavilion Museum is not only the most ancient private library in China, but also the most ancient one that is still existing in Asia. Thousands of valuable books have been preserved in Tianyi Pavilion Museum. The pattern is like the garden of Suzhou. It was so quiet in it. There is an exhibition of the mah-jongg. It shows the history of the mah-jongg. We could see some kinds of mah-jongg. Some are made in China, some are made in Japan and some are made in USA. All of those are so precious. We were surprised.

The 9th China Art Festival to be Held in Guangzhou in May 2010

From May 10 to May 25, 2010, the 9th China Art Festival will commence in Guangzhou of South China’s Guangdong Province.

There will be more than 100 art shows and 23 major exhibitions presented during the art festival. Art shows will be staged in a total of 29 venues in Guangdong Province, including cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan and Zhongshan. The construction of Guangzhou Opera House (designed by Pritzker-Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid) has also been completed.

A number of fine overseas shows will also be staged, including Italian opera Turandot, and shows from Poland, Germany and South Korea. Art and cultural exhibitions will showcase a number of fine art masterpieces in history as well as in recent years.
